Overview
Screen printing is a process where ink is manually pushed through a screen onto paper or another surface underneath the screen. The result is layers of color are built up to create a finished piece of art, like a print or t-shirt.
My Work
All projects below were carefully designed and hand printed using a variety of different techniques and printing surfaces to achieve the final product.

Process
1 / Setup design, Print film, Burn screen
To start a screen print, the first step is to setup the design file correctly, this involves separating each color into separate layers and making all color black. The black layers are then printed on transparent film, the film is used to burn the design into a screen to be used like a stencil.
2 / Register Screen, Print First Color
After a screen is burned with the first layer, the surface that will be printed on is lined up with the design on the screen so printing happens in the correct location. The first color is then pulled.
3 / Print Remaining Colors, Sign and Number Prints
The process from step two is repeated for each color until all layers are printed and the design is complete. Final step is to sign the print and number the edition.
